Best Buy Canada, Future Shop partner with JP Morgan Chase to offer private label credit card

By Lauren Lindberg

17/11/2009 - Many merchants understand the importance of offering a variety of payment processing options - from credit cards to debit and gift cards - in boosting their cash flow and even sales.

But Best Buy Canada and Future Shop have gone one step further, announcing this week the launch of the Best Buy Reward Zone Visa card and Future Shop Private Label Card, both in partnership with JP Morgan Chase.

The two specialty retailers of consumer electronics will now offer this private label credit card, which comes with "special financing offers" and rewards.

"The Best Buy and Future Shop Private Label cards represent Chase' commitment to building partnership with customer-centric brands in the market and providing Canadians with credit card products that meet their needs," said Andrew Pilkington, president and CEO of Chase Card Services Canada. "We are proud to offer our Canadian customers more opportunities for flexible financial planning."

Businesses do not have to launch their own private label credit cards to get the benefits of in-store brand payment processing - many retailers use their credit card machines to process loyalty cards and provide customer rewards.ADNFCR-2514-ID-19465216-ADNFCR
