Blackboard's campus clients gain access to PE Systems cost saving solutions

By Joseph Trigliari

17/11/2010 - Colleges and universities that use Blackboard campus card security and financial services can now pay less for credit and debit card processing costs as a result of Blackboard's recent partnership with PE Systems, a firm that offers payment processing cost savings solutions.

Campus transactions can total millions of dollars every day, forcing institutions to search for the most cost effective and secure payment processing platform.

"Because these institutions are continually challenged with doing more with less, we are particularly pleased to have been able to help reduce and manage one of their largest line item expenses to the benefit of their students," said Bob Skattum, Chief Operating Officer of PE Systems.

The partnership between PE Systems and Blackboard allows their clients to leverage the other company's resources. Elizabeth Brock, the assistant vice president and controller at George Mason University, credits PE Systems with simplifying the complexities of their merchant statements and saving the institution thousands of dollars. Now Blackboard's clients will have access to the PE System's IP-based processing system, which provides financial management services.
