As small businesses continue to report difficulties with their cash flow, some credit card companies are taking notice and launching credit card programs aimed at small businesses. The latest company to do so, JP Morgan Chase, announced on Wednesday the release of four new small business cards through its Chase Card Services division.
The so-called Ink from Chase line of cards features three credit cards and one charge card, all designed "to address fundamental financial needs of small business owners' day-to-day operations - access to capital and improved cash flow," the company reported.
The cards will feature rewards for business spending, online expense management tools, the ability to provide additional linked cards to employees and customizable payment terms.
The charge card - the first offered by a Visa or MasterCard issuer - will require that the business pay the balance in full each month.
The Wall Street Journal reports that this SME-focused program may be a sign that the economy is turning around, as small businesses have been one of the sectors most severely impacted by the recession.
As conditions start to improve and small businesses begin spending again - especially when encouraged by SME-focused credit card promotions such as this one - it becomes more important than ever for companies in the business-to-business sector to accept credit cards.
