Credit card payments easier for customers

By Kristen Lawrence

14/01/2011 - When it comes to the business world, perhaps the old adage is true. The customer is always right. And these days, it's pretty clear that they like to pay by credit card.

Credit card processing through a terminal is much more convenient than cash or checks for customers, says the website Business Structure. Customers will appreciate the added convenience and, perhaps, patronize the business more in the future.

This payment method will continue to grow as more and more people rely on plastic for payments. The average American holds four credit cards, reports MSN, and 14 percent hold more than 10 cards. These numbers are up from 2004, when the average citizen carried 32 cards and only 10 percent had more than 10 cards.

Additionally, a company that has the capability to process credit card payments can sell through many other avenues on top of just the brick and mortar locale. Credit card processing can open up payments through the internet and smartphones, explains the site.

New wireless technology advances also allow sales staff to go on the road with a remote credit card terminal. Customers will not only appreciate the added convenience, but they will be happy to know that mobile processing is still safe and secure for their personal account information.

"Satisfied customers generate more business and will use word of mouth advertising for free," advises the website.
