One of the most popular pizza franchises recently made headlines after it announced that it would be accepting credit cards for delivery orders.Domino's Pizza in India said that it would be increasing its payment processing operations in order to make it "more convenient" for consumers. Customers will be able to give their information over the phone when they do not have enough cash to complete the transaction or if they simply prefer using the plastic payment method.
The service will be rolled out on a trial basis in different locations at a select few locations in the country in hopes of having it more widely adopted in the future.
"[O]ur endeavor is to be at the forefront in using new technologies to extend more service convenience to our customers," said Harneet Signh Rajpal, vice president of marketing for Domino's Pizza India. "Payment through credit card has been a latent need of our customers."
It's not just franchises that are accepting credit cards. In Washington, the Burien Farmers Market announced that it would be accepting both credit and debit cards beginning on May 5, the B-Town Blog reports.
