Pivotal Payments, a leading merchant services provider in North America, has announced that it has been selected as a finalist for Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies award, sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC Commercial Banking, National Post, and Queen's School of Business.The award, established in 1993, recognizes companies with revenues of more than $10 million that have demonstrated excellence in business performance, sustained growth and overall organizational efforts. Winners will be chosen on March 8, 2010.

Pivotal Payments, which offers a variety of payment processing merchant services to small and midsize companies, boasts more than 280 employees and more than 600 agents. The company processes more than $7 billion in annual volume, and has had three acquisitions since 2007.
The payment processing industry in general has also seen encouraging performance as more and more consumers turn to credit and debit card payments instead of cash, making the industry more competitive than ever.
