New application for payment processing

By Joseph Trigliari

31/05/2011 - A new mobile device application will give retailers and other business professionals a new way to process debit and credit card payment.

Application developer AppNinjas announced a new app, Swipe, that will allow the card payments to be processed anywhere. The software can be downloaded on the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and will soon be available on Androids. The firm has brought the price of the product down considerably, from $29.99 to just $0.99, and the product comes with a $79 card reader free of charge.

"We have made it as easy as possible for sellers to use Swipe," said John Waldron, CEO of AppNinjas. "Our system is simple, totally mobile and inexpensive. And sellers and buyers can be assured of financial privacy, since Swipe incorporates state-of-the-art security to keep all information safe and secure."

Other companies have tried to get in the mobile payment game. Amazon is rumored to be creating a tablet that can process credit card payments.
