Pivotal Payments, 411.ca team up to provide advertising and payment processing promotions

By Lauren Lindberg

13/04/2010 - Canadian businesses may soon be able to kill two birds with one stone by advertising their business and setting up their merchant services, thanks to a recent partnership between 411.ca and Pivotal Payments.

The strategic business relationship was announced this week between merchant services provider Pivotal Payments and search engine 411.ca, which will allow Pivotal Payments clients to receive three months of free, enhanced listings on 411.ca through the Owner Verified program.

This program allows merchants to receive higher listing placement on the search engine's results pages.

Furthermore, after the promotional period is up, Pivotal Payments merchants that continue to advertise with 411.ca will get a discount of $100 for the search engine, which 411.ca says can be applied to an enhanced or premium listing.

The benefits also go both ways - Pivotal Payments will provide these businesses with an introductory discount on payment processing services.

"It's always nice to see partnerships that benefit hard-working Canadian business owners," said Philip Fayer, President and CEO of Pivotal Payments. "This program adds value to businesses of all sizes by providing them increased online exposure at an affordable price."

The benefits of both electronic payment processing and search engine marketing are clear - MarketResearch reports that the Canadian debit market alone is worth more than $165 billion, while comScore recently found that the global search market grew by 46 percent in the past year.
