In an increasingly competitive industry, payment card processing providers must ensure that their technology is continually meeting the needs of both customers and merchants. With that goal in mind, VeriFone Holdings - a leading payment systems provider - announced this week the release of PAYWare CMS 8.0, a new version of its card management enterprise software.
The software will be available to banks, financial institutions, processors and retailers to help set up and manage both physical and virtual payment card programs.
For merchants, this means enhanced payment authorization, clearing and settlement of not just credit cards but also prepaid cards, store value and loyalty cards, and branded cards.
The new version of the PAYware CMS software includes improvements to graphical dashboards for more immediate authorization process monitoring, as well as an easily configured web-based reporting module that helps increase access, automation and flexibility of reporting.
"This update to PAYware CMS complies with the latest PCI DSS requirements and features improved performance and a new intuitive graphical interface which eases usability of every aspect of the system, enhancing productivity and efficiency," said Gustavo Jimenez, vice president and general manager of VeriFone.
Optimised payment card processing is not only a useful tool for business operations, but also in sales, as merchants that accept payment cards typically see a higher sales volume than merchants who do not.
