Webinar to help business owners understand, accomplish PCI compliance

By Lauren Lindberg

01/02/2010 - The PCI DSS and everything else involved in PCI compliance can be intimidating to businesses, especially smaller companies that do not have the resources to support a dedicated payment processing team or manager.

Businesses looking for a little extra help with PCI compliance may want to tune into a free webinar on February 10 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., hosted by U.S.-based National Association of Convenience Stores.

The webinar - which features Gray Taylor, a payment processing expert and industry consultant, as well as Rick Dakin, president of PCI auditing and consulting firm Coalfire - will help businesses make sense of the PCI compliance process.

Topics covered include completing the Self Assessment Questionnaire both easily and thoroughly, as well as the requirements of the PCI DSS - assessment, remediation and audit.

Business owners interested in attending the webinar can register on the NACS website.

Yet proper PCI compliance does not end with the PCI DSS or the audit - industry experts advise merchants to go above and beyond compliance by maintaining a focus on payment processing security 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. ADNFCR-2514-ID-19591244-ADNFCR
